Orono, ME - The University of Maine baseball team was defeated in seven innings by Merrimack on Tuesday afternoon.

First Pitch: 4 P.M. (13-3 Merrimack - 7 Innings)

First Inning: Merrimack got on the board first with three runs in the first inning on two home runs.

Second Inning: Merrimack scored two runs on a sac-fly and an RBI double.

Will Burns got the Black Bears on the board with his first collegiate home run, a solo shot to right field.

Jake Marquez made it back-to-back home runs as on the first pitch he saw he hit a solo home run to left field, his fifth home run of the season.

Third Inning: Geoff Mosseau began the third inning on the mound for Maine. Noah Lewis allowed 5 runs on 5 hits and 2 strikeouts in his 2 innings of work.

Fourth Inning: Merrimack plated five runs (four earned) in the frame.

Fifth Inning: Owen Wheeler began the fifth inning on the mound for Maine. Mosseau allowed 5 runs (4 earned) on 5 hits and 4 strikeouts.

Sixth Inning: Merrimack plated three runs in the sixth to make it 13-2.

Wheeler allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts across his 3 innings of relief.

Seventh Inning: Jeremiah Jenkins brought home the last run of the game as he hit a solo home run to right field, his 15th long ball of the season.
