ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team set a new school-record with 19 three-point field goals made in a convincing 96-39 victory over Bates College on Saturday afternoon.

Caroline Dotsey posted her fourth double-figure scoring performance in her last five outings with 14 points and four assists while Asta Blauenfeldt and Jaycie Christopher each contributed 13. Sera Hodgson rounded out the double-digit performances with 11 points as Maine posted five double-digit scorers for the first time since 2022.

Maine swelled its lead with an impressive second quarter which saw the Black Bears limit Bates to just 1-of-12 from the floor while outscoring the visitors 26-4 in the period.

Rockwood began the impressive stanza by hitting one of Maine's seven second quarter triples. Her three started an 11-2 run for Maine which saw it grow the lead out to 20 with 5:03 left in the half.

Three consecutive triples by Maine from Christopher, Blauenfeldt, and Rockwood followed as a 9-0 run stretched Maine's lead out to 38-9.

Maine closed the half with a 6-2 run to carry a 44-11 advantage into the break.

The Black Bears continued to pour it on in the third, opening the second half with a 15-4 run as a triple from Christopher pushed the lead to 44 midway through the third.

Maine, leading by 50 early in the fourth, maintained its offensive push late in the game as Emmie Streams' three capped an 11-4 run to give Maine its largest lead of the contest, 88-31, with 4:37 to play.
