BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team was edged by Northeastern University, 2-0 on Saturday at Matthews Arena.
After a scoreless first period, Maine ran into penalty trouble, letting up two power-play goals by the Huskies.
Kiia Lahtinen made 23 saves for the Black Bears, while the team took 31 shots on goal.
Sam Morrison led the team with five shots on goal.
Maine had four powerplay opportunities but struggled to find the back of the net.
