ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Providence College in the game's final seconds, Friday night, 2-3.
Maine took the lead in the first period when senior forward
Alyssa Wruble opened up scoring for the Black Bears.

Elise Morphy earned assists.
Providence scored twice in the second period, a minute and a half apart, to take the lead from Maine. Both goals came during even-strength play from Providence's top line. Maine responded eight minutes later when freshman
Stephanie Jacob scored her first career goal on a power play opportunity.
Mira Seregély tallied her second assist of the night, with
Jamie Grinder adding an assist, too.
With two seconds left to play in the overtime period, Providence snuck in the game-winning goal.
Maine outshot Providence 36 to 35 and capitalized on one of six power play opportunities. Goaltender
Julia Bachetti made 32 saves for Maine.
