Orono, ME – The University of Maine women's soccer team picked up its fifth win of the season as they took down UIC on Sunday afternoon, 2-1.

Abby Kraemer got the Black Bears going as she scored her sixth goal of the season on a takeaway from a goal kick that she netted into the upper left corner of the goal.

Bella Baker tied the contest up at 1-1 as she scored for UIC.

Kira Kutzinski remained dominate in the net for the Black Bears as she picked up two saves in net, including a save on a penalty shot to pick up her fifth win of the season.

Maine (5-0-3) looks to carry their strong start into America East Conference play as they host Vermont on Sunday, Sep. 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 P.M.
