Orono, Maine -- It was announced on Friday, Aug. 11 that the University of Maine football team will travel to take on Oklahoma in 2024.

Date and time for this game will be determined at a later date.

Oklahoma will mark Maine's second contest against a member of the Southeastern Conference as the Sooners will be moving the SEC in 2024. Maine last played a SEC opponent in 2004 when it traveled to defeat Mississippi State, 9-7.

The Black Bears now have two games on the slate for 2024 as it was previously announced that Maine will travel to take on Montana State on Sept. 7.
