Football Announces Game Time for all Home Games and CAA Matchups

Maine is now scheduled for five home games during the 2026 season

Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football program has announced their kickoffs for all home games and for CAA road matchups for the 2026 season.

The Black Bears are currently set to play five games at home during the 2026 season. With the move to FBS effective this season for Sacramento State, we do not anticipate being able to host them in football this season as was originally scheduled. We are working collaboratively with their leadership to pursue an alternative option in football and/or other sports in the future. At this point in the calendar, it is unlikely we will be able to fill the now open Nov. 7 date as a home game, though we are actively continuing to pursue all opportunities.

Maine will begin the 2026 season at Towson on Thursday, August 29 with a 6 PM kickoff.

After a trip to Appalachian St. on Saturday, Sept. 5, the Black Bears will host Merrimack on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5 PM for their home opener at Harold Alfond Stadium at Morse Field.

Following a pair of road games to Boston College (9/19) and a Elon (9/26 – 2 PM Kickoff), the Black Bears begin a set of three-straight home games along with their bye week, starting off with Family and Friends weekend on Saturday, Oct. 3 against Sacred Heart. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 3:30 PM.

Following their week six bye, Maine plays host to Bryant at 1 PM on Saturday, Oct. 17 before Homecoming Weekend against Campbell on Saturday, Oct. 24. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 1 PM.

Maine heads to Rhode Island on Oct. 31 (Noon kickoff) and following their empty week on Nov. 7, heads to UAlbany on Nov. 14 for another noon kickoff.

The Black Bears conclude the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 21 as they play host to New Hampshire in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM.

Season tickets will go on sale April 1 with renewals for existing season ticket holders being live until May 1.
