Orono, Maine -- UMaine softball summer camp registration is open now! Reserve your spot today for one, or all, of our summer camp offerings.

The Black Bears will be presenting four summer camp offerings this summer: Summer Hitting Clinic (June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20), Overnight Camp (Sunday, July 16 - Tuesday, July 18), Tee Ball and Coach Pitch Camp (Wednesday, July 19 - Friday, July 21), Prospect Camp (Friday, August 4).

Summer Hitting Clinic: June 25, July 9, July 23, Aug. 6, Aug. 20
Campers interested in the summer hitting clinic can attend all five, four of the five, or three of the five sessions. Camps will run from 3-4 p.m. at the UMaine Softball Complex on the following dates: June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20. These hitting clinics are for ages 10-16 and will focus on the mechanics of hitting and getting the most out of your swing. Participants will need to bring a bat and helmet.

Overnight Camp: July 16 - July 18
The overnight is for players ages 9+. Campers will check-in on Sunday, July 16 at 2 p.m. and check out on Tuesday, July 18 at 5 p.m. All softball activities will take place at the UMaine Softball Complex. Come work with the University of Maine coaches and players. This camp is designed to help improve your offensive and defensive skills for softball. There will be position specific work, mini games, mental skills and much more.

Tee Ball Coach Pitch Camp: July 19 - July 21
These sessions are for players age 5-9 and will take place on July 19, July 20, and July 21 from 8.30 a.m. to noon at the UMaine Softball Complex. Baseball and Softball players welcome! This camp is designed to teach fundamentals of baseball and softball such as fielding, throwing and hitting. Players will be required to bring their own water, snacks and sunscreen each day. Helmets and bats will not be provided so please bring your own. Kids are encouraged to wear sneakers or molded cleats.

Prospect Camp: Aug. 4
This camp will run from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. and is open to players in grades 7-12. Camp will take place at the UMaine Softball Complex. Friday, August 4. Come work with the University of Maine coaches and players! This camp is designed to help improve your offensive and defensive skills for softball. There will be position specific work, mini games, mental skills and much more.
