Orono, ME – The University of Maine baseball team took game two of the weekend series over Bryant, 3-1.

Matt McElwain got the Black Bears on the board first as he hit a fielder's choice to the second basemen, scoring
Connor Goodman (1B) on the play.

Third Inning:
Quinn McDaniel got the Black Bears up 3-0 as he launched his 12
th home run of the season to left-center.
Jake Rainess (3B) scored on the play.

Sixth Inning:
Gianni Gambardella began the sixth inning on the mound for the Black Bears.
Caleb Leys went 5 strong innings allowing no runs on 4 hits, 2 walks and striking out 8.

Bryant scored their lone run of the contest in the sixth inning on an RBI double by John Hosmer.

Caleb Leys (4-0) picked up the win for Maine.

Gianni Gambardella (2) picked up the save for the Black Bears as he allowed just 1 run on 4 hits, no walks and 6 strikeouts in relief.

Brett Wichrowski (5-3) took the loss for Bryant.

Maine (28-19, 18-5 AE) will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, May 20 at Mahaney Diamond in the series finale against Bryant. First pitch is at Noon.
