Maine moves to 13-2 in America East Play
Second Inning: Jake Rainess brought home the opening run of the contest as he doubled to left center, scoring Jake Marquez (E6) on the play.
Quinn McDaniel made it 2-0 Black Bears as he hit a sac-fly to center field, scoring Myles Sargent (BB).
Connor Goodman kept the Black Bear bats going as he singled to left field, scoring Jake Rainess (2B).
Nick White made it a four-run inning for the Black Bears as he singled to left field, scoring Jeremiah Jenkins (IBB).
The River Hawks got one back in the second inning on a balk.
Third Inning: The Black Bears chased Nick DiRito from the contest after just two innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Brendan Williams was called on in relief.
Jeremiah Jenkins brought home the fifth run of the contest for the Black Bears as he was hit a by a pitch with the bases loaded. Myles Sargent (1B) scored on the play.

Maine (23-15, 13-2 AE) has already locked up a playoff spot in the America East tournament but are looking to grab one of the top-two seeds in the playoff bracket for a first-round bye as they will take on the UMBC Retrievers in a weekend series in Orono starting on Friday, May 5. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
