Orono, ME - The America East Association announced Wednesday morning that Mackenzie Wilson was named the female field performer of the week for her performance at The Holy Cross Invitational over the weekend.

Wilson, a senior from Lasalle, Ontario took home gold in the hammer throw over the weekend with a mark of 61.58m. Wilson's throw set a new University of Maine record in the event. This mark also ranks Wilson first in the conference and forty-first in the NCAA after her weekend performance. This is Wilson's second week in a row winning the award.

The Black Bears are set to continue on the road to University of Massachusetts for a meet on Apr. 28 and 29.
