TULSA, OK -- The University of Maine softball team was defeated by #24/#23 Missouri, 10-0, in game number one, while also being defeated by Tulsa, 4-12, in game number two on day two.
Game One - Maine: 0 Missouri: 10
The first two innings were played to a scoreless tie. The Tigers would change that with 10 runs over the next three innings, including a six run fifth.

Maine quickly put their first one on the board with
Grace McGouldrick diving into home, after stealing second and third base, on a
Kelby Drews sac bunt.
Tulsa answered in the first scoring four runs including a three run home run.
The Black Bears added another run in the second. With
Madison Hand on third and
Jasmine Gray on first Gray attempted to steal and was thrown out but not before Hand was able to run home for the score.
In the bottom of the third inning,
Katie Jo Moery forced a walk with bases loaded that brought
Anna Margetis across.
Tulsa was able to score five runs in the fifth to extend their own lead.
In the sixth inning Maine added one more.
Rylee Kent batted the ball to third base and with a throwing error,
Gabby Papushka was able to run home from third and give the Black Bears their fourth.
Tulsa ended the game with a two run home run.

Next: The Black Bears are scheduled to return to the diamond tomorrow, March 5 for their final game of the weekend. First pitch against Tarleton State University is scheduled for 11:30 ET/10:30 AM CT.
