Boston, MA - The University of Maine women's track and field team placed eighth at the America East Indoor Championships with 39 points and earned one more medal on day two making the total medals earned two silver and two bronze medals.

Notable Performances:

• Ashley Martinez earned a silver medal for the Black Bears in the high jump with a 1.70m mark.
• Maine had multiple strong performances in the shot put. Stella Inman finished with a mark of 12.84m earning sixth place and Claudia Damboise placed ninth with a 12.35m mark.
• Emma White finished in the top ten in the triple jump placing eighth (11.63m).
• Lastly for the women, Rachel Hodge placed tenth in the mile run coming in with a time of 5:17.21.
