Orono, Maine -- For the third time this season, Anne Simon has been named the America East Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday, Dec. 4.

Simon averaged 30.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals as she guided Maine to a 1-1 week with a victory at Fordham and a strong showing against #17 Indiana.

Simon opened the week with an impressive, career-high effort of 34 points, including 25 in the first half, against #17 Indiana. The guard added 11 rebounds for her 10th career double-double. She followed up the performance with a 27 point outing in a win at Fordham where she tied a season-high with four three-pointers and posted a season-high 75-percent mark from the floor.

Simon, who has now scored in double-digits in three-straight games, and the Black Bears return to action on Wednesday when they host Harvard at 6 p.m.
