BOSTON – The #9 University of Maine men's hockey team fell to #8 Boston University, 3-2, on Friday night at Agganis Arena.
Â
Maine took a 1-0 lead just 14 seconds into the contest thanks to
Thomas Freel's first goal of the season. The Terriers, though, would go on to score three unanswered power-play goals to hold a 3-1 lead after two periods.
Â
Freel struck again with a power-play goal of his own midway through the final period but the Black Bears were unable to find the equalizer down the stretch.
