WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East announced Wednesday, January 4th that University of Maine junior goaltender, Victor Ostman, has been named the league's Stop It Goaltending Goalkeeper of the month after he went 3-0 and only allowed two goals in the month of December.

The Danderyd, Sweden native recorded 56 saves while allowing only two goals during three victories over Vermont and Canisius. Ostman also posted his second shutout of the season with his 22 save performance at home against the Golden Griffins. This is the junior's first conference award of the 2021-22 season.
 
The Black Bears will host Alaska Anchorage this Friday and Saturday, January 6th & 7th for a weekend series. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm on Friday, while it's set for 5:05 pm on Saturday.
