Orono, Maine -- For the third time this season, Adrianna Smith has been named the America East Player of the Week. The league announced the award on Monday, Jan. 30.

Smith continued her impressive production as she averaged 21.5 points per game, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while helping guide Maine in wins over UMass Lowell and UAlbany during her award winning week.

The sophomore began the week by tallying her league-leading 11th double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds to go along with four assists in a win at UMass Lowell. She then bounced back to pour in a team-high 22 points with nine rebounds and the game-winning assist in Maine's 50-49 victory over UAlbany.

Smith has registered double-figure scoring in 15 games this season, including each of her last 11 outings, while besting 20 points in seven outings and recording 30 or more points twice. Smith is averaging 22.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in league play.

Smith and the Black Bears return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 1 when they host Bryant in Orono.
