WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East announced Tuesday, January 30th that University of Maine junior goaltender, Victor Ostman, has been named the league's player of the week after he went 2-0 and posted 81 total saves in a sweep over then #17/#16 Providence.

The Danderyd, Sweden native recorded 29 saves on Friday night and 52 on Saturday night while allowing only two goals during two victories over the Friars. Ostman also posted his third shutout of the season with his unbelievable series finale performance. This is the junior's second conference award of the 2022-23 season.

The Black Bears will host Boston University this Friday, February 3rd and then Merrimack on Sunday, February 5th for a split weekend series. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm on Friday, while it's set for 2:05 pm on Sunday.
