ORONO, Maine - The Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) has announced a "Watch List" of 41 goalies who will compete for the Mike Richter Award, given annually to the top goalie in men's NCAA Division I hockey since 2014. Victor Ostman from the University of Maine men's ice hockey team has been named to the list.
The 41 goalies come from the United States (18), Canada (13), and Sweden (6), along with one each from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia and Russia.
Ostman, over his 16 games, has seven wins, three shutouts, a 1.87 GAA, and a .923 save percentage. The junior goalkeeper was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for December.
