Lowell, MA – The University of Maine baseball team dropped the second contest of the weekend at UMass Lowell, 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.

First Inning: Gerry Siracusa got the Riverhawks on the board in the bottom of the opening frame as he hit a triple to right field, scoring Jacob Humphrey. Cedric Rose made it a 2-0 game as he hit a sac-fly to right field, scoring Siracusa.

Third Inning: Brandon Fish drew a bases loaded walk to bring in the third run of the contest for UMass Lowell, scoring Ryan Proto.

Fourth Inning:
Quinn McDaniel got the Black Bears on the board as he hit a solo home run to left field.

Fifth Inning: Maine would keep the bats going in the fifth inning as
Connor Goodman hit an RBI single to center field, scoring
Scout Knotts.

Caleb Leys day came to an end after 5 innings of work, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, 3 walks and striking out 5.

Sixth Inning: Jacob Humphrey got the Riverhawks back up to a 3-run lead as he hit an RBI single to left field, scoring Brandon Fish and Roddy Hernandez on the play.
