ORONO, ME – The University of Maine baseball took game two of the weekend series over Hartford, 15-2 Saturday afternoon.

First Inning:
Jordan Schulefand scored the opening run of the contest as he scored on a wild pitch to make it 1-0 Black Bears.
Scout Knotts finished his at-bat by driving home
Jeff Mejia and
Quinn McDaniel on a single to center field.
Jeremiah Jenkins brought home Knotts on a double into the right field gap.
Connor Goodman promptly brought home Jenkins with a double of his own, this one down the left field line.

Jake Marquez capped off a 7-run first inning for the Black Bears as he hit a 2-run home run to left field, bringing home Goodman on the play.

Third Inning: Tremayne Cobb Jr. got the Hawks on the board in the third inning as he hit a bases-loaded single to right field, scoring Martin Chavarria on the play.

Maine, whose win-streak extends to 12, good for the second-longest active streak in the country, is back in action on Sunday, May 1 to wrap up the weekend series against Hartford. First pitch is scheduled for Noon.
