ORONO, ME – The University of Maine baseball team lost their first conference game of the season as Stony Brook evened the series 1-1.

First Inning: Shane Paradine got the Seawolves off to a 1-0 lead as he hit an RBI-double to deep left field, bringing home Evan Fox (1 SB).

Sixth Inning: Evan Giordano increased the Stony Brook lead to 2-0 as he hit a sacrifice fly to left field, driving home Matt Miceli.

Eighth Inning: Stony Brook put up 4 runs in the top of the frame. Evan Fox (RBI double), Evan Giordano (RBI single) and Matt Brown-Eiring (2-run home run) did the damage for the Seawolves.

Jeff Mejia put up a late inning fight for the Black Bears as he hit an RBI-single to left field, bringing home
Jake Rainess to make the score 6-2.

Stony Brook would come away with the win, 6-2.
