DURHAM, NH – The Black Bears fell in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle at UNH Wednesday night, 73-61.

The Wildcats got off to a fast start, scoring 15-straight before the Black Bears got on the board following a Kristian Feierbergs free-throw.

The Black Bears would start to find some offense midway through the first half as Feierbergs hit a timely 3-pointer to get the Black Bears going down the final 3-minutes of the contest.

The two sides would head into the half with the Wildcats holding onto a 42-27 lead.

Maine was led offensively by
Sam Ihekwoaba (8 pts),
Stephane Ingo (6 pts) and Feierbergs (6 pts).

The Wildcats were paced by Blondeau Tchoukuiegno (14 pts) and Jayden Martinez (10 pts).

Ja'Shonte Wright-McLeish would get the Black Bears going in the second half, hitting a 3-pointer as the first bucket of the half.

The Wildcats would answer, going on a 10-0 run following the Wright-McLeish bucket to increase the lead to 22 points for UNH.

The Black Bears would slowly chip away at the Wildcats lead, drawing to within 12, but the Wildcats would come away with the victory in the end, 73-61.

The Wildcats were led by Tchoukuiegno, who dropped a career-high 23 points in the contest. The Wildcats had 4 other's scored double-digits in the contest.
