Porter and Kuoppala Earn All-Conference Accolades

WAKEFIELD, Massachusetts -- The Hockey East Association announced Saturday the 2020-21 all-conference teams. University of Maine senior goaltender Loryn Porter and sophomore forward Ida Kuoppala were both named second team all-stars.

Porter finished the regular season with seven wins, 511 total saves, and having played virtually every minute in net for the Black Bears. The senior is fourth in the country and third in league with a .953 save percentage. Her 1.56 goals against average is good enough for fourth in Hockey East and ninth in the country.

Kuoppala notched 13 points (8-5-13) over her 14 games during the 2020-21 regular season. She was first on the team in goals, assists, power play goals, and shorthanded goals. The forward finished fourth in the conference in power play points and sixth in goals per game.
