Orono, Maine -- For the third time in her career, and for the second time this season, Anne Simon has been named the America East Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Simon played a key role in leading Maine to a comeback victory over Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon. Simon finished the contest with her sixth career double-double after registering 21 points and matching a career-high with 11 rebounds. Simon, who has now bested 20 points three times this season, also matched a career-high with six steals in the victory. The junior guard poured in 15 of her game-high 21 points in the second half to help Maine erase a 19 point deficit and earn the victory over Dartmouth.

Simon and the Black Bears return to action on Wednesday when they host Northeastern at the Cross Insurance Center at 1 p.m.
