Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine football team concludes its regular season with its annual rivalry showdown at New Hampshire in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket on Saturday at 1 p.m. The contest marks the 109th meeting between the two programs.
Saturday's game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Boston and also streamed live via the FloFootball platform. The game can also be heard worldwide on the Black Bear Sports Network and locally in Maine on 103.9 FM, 101.3 FM, 95.1 FM, 100.5 FM, 1450 AM, 1310 AM.

- The Black Bears square off with New Hampshire, Maine's longest tenured rival, in a series that dates back to 1903. New Hampshire currently owns a 56-44-8 record in the all-time series. Maine, entering the series 18-29-5 on the road against the Wildcats, will be looking for its first win in Durham since 2001. New Hampshire has won the last nine meetings at Wildcat Stadium, including a most recent 28-10 decision in 2019. New Hampshire has picked up victories in 16 of the last 18 meetings. Maine's last win in the series came in 2018, a 35-7 victory in the 2018 season opener.
- Maine, winners of three of its last four, are coming off a 35-10 victory at UMass. The win marked Maine's fourth victory in school history over a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent. After falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter, Maine rattled off 35-unanswered points for the victory while holding UMass scoreless over the game's final 50:11. Quarterback Joe Fagnano, who missed the previous seven games after suffering a high-ankle sprain at James Madison (9/11) returned to the starting lineup while throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Maine rushing attack posted 150+ yards for the second time in its last three outings with its third-highest rush total of the season (157) and season-high three rushing touchdowns. Maine's +25 margin of victory was the largest for any FCS program in a win over an FBS program this season.
- After starting the year 3-0, the Wildcats have dropped seven-straight after most recently suffering a 28-3 loss to the hands of Rhode Island. UNH, 1-3 at home this season, has lost three in a row at Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcats have struggled on both sides of the ball, ranking last in the CAA in both points for (16.2) and points allowed (29.3) while giving up a league-high 414.7 yards per game.
- The Black Bears have been impressive in pass-protection all season long and currently rank third in the CAA and 13th nationally in sacks allowed (1.10) and did not allow a single sack in each of its two FBS games. Maine also features the CAA's second-ranked team in turnovers lost, 7th nationally, with just nine giveaways this season. Over its last three games, Maine has rushed for an average of 178.3 yards per game.
