Men's Hockey Upended in OT by Boston University

BOSTON -- The University of Maine men's ice hockey team was defeated by the Boston University Terriers, 3-2, on Friday Afternoon in Walter Brown Arena.

First Goal (1-0 Boston University): David Farrance scored 1:41 into the first period. The defenseman scored the first goal of the Hockey East contest from the blue line. With traffic in front of the Maine net, Victor Ostman was unable to locate the puck as the Terriers snagged an early 1-0 lead.

Second Goal (1-1): While on the penalty kill, Adam Dawe tied the Hockey East late in the first period. Eduards Tralmaks forced a turnover in the Maine end. The forward started a rush with Dawe. After receiving the puck from Tralmaks, Dawe threw the puck on net. Finding a hole between Drew Commesso's pads, the penalty kill unit tied the game heading into the first intermission.

Third Goal (2-1 Boston University): Markus Boguslavsky stole the lead back for the Terriers with a breakaway goal for the forward. David Farrance played the puck ahead to the streaking Boguslavsky who did the rest.

Fourth Goal (2-2): With traffic in front of the Terrier's net, Brad Morrissey tied the Hockey East at two goals apiece approaching the midway point of the third period. The freshman forward fired a slapshot from the far side circle that found its way past BU's netminder.

Fifth Goal (3-2 Boston University): Robert Mastrosimone scored an overtime game winning goal halfway through the five minute period for the Terriers. BU caught Maine midline change and took advantage of the odd man rush to clinch the Friday night victory.
