CHARLESTON, South Carolina - The University of Maine softball team was defeated by Campbell, 3-0, in the first game of the day, while the College of Charleston won 5-0 in the final contest.
Game #1 -- Maine: 0 Campbell: 4
The Camels struck first with a solo shot in the top of the fourth inning. Kayla Fredendall wrapped the ball around the right field foul pole. Campbell held a 1-0 lead after four complete in South Carolina.
With two outs in the top of the fifth, KynadiTipler doubled to the right field fence. Two Camels scored on the two base knock. Both of the runs allowed by
Lilly Volk were unearned. Campbell tallied one more in the top of the seventh inning.
The 3-0 advantage would stand as Campbell won the first game of the day.

Game #2 -- Maine: 0 College of Charleston 5
The Cougars scored the first two runs of the contest in the bottom of the second as Yari Felix singled to the pitcher to score Jenna Carter then a throwing error allowed Brittany Vicary to double the lead for the host.
In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Viciary tripled to left center field and Felix singled through the right side to score Viciary and extend the lead for the Cougars.
College of Charleston rounded out the scoring in the bottom of the sixth with two additional runs.
Notes:
- Caitlyn Fallon (0-2) started and went two innings. She allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, while walking walks as she struck out one.
- Gabbie Siciliano came in relief, pitched four innings, allowed three runs, and striking out one.
- Brianna Neely and Jasmine Gray each recorded two base hits.
