Orono, Maine -- Together. On Election Day 2020, the Black Bears unified as a department on organizing the UMaine Student-Athletes' Walk For Peace, Equality, and Justice. Teams came together and marched for causes and movements that were important to their team including Black Lives, equality, justice, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health awareness, peace, respect, and women's rights.


 
The Black Bears also hit the polls on Election Day. UMaine Athletics was proud to host Orono's official polling location at the New Balance Field House.
