ORONO, Maine - The No, 24 University of Maine Black Bears hit the road this weekend for their first extended road trip of the season, heading to Ohio to take on Temple and Kent State on Saturday and Sunday. The Black Bears have started the season 0-2 with a pair of hard-luck losses, first a 3-0 defeat at the hands of No. 19 Rutgers despite a career-high ten saves by Mia Borley followed by a tough 5-4 overtime loss against Providence College last Sunday.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- Temple returns 13 student-athletes and seven starters from a 2018 squad that went 4-14 overall and 0-7 within the Big East Conference.
- The Owls have gotten off to a hot start in 2019, winning their first two matchups of the seasons by identical 3-0 scores, first over Merrimack to start the year followed by a victory over La Salle on Sunday afternoon. They'll look to make it three in a row against Kent State on Friday night before taking on the Black Bears Saturday morning.
- Of the team's six goals this year, two apiece are credited to Kerrie Lorenz and Dani Batze who lead the team.
- Cristina Carotenuto handles the goalkeeping responsibilities for the Owls, having posted back-to-back clean sheets to start the season while only having to make six saves so far.
