Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Five Black Bears posted double-digit scoring totals and Maine matched a school-record with 16 three-point field goals in an 85-73 road win at North Carolina on Sunday afternoon. The victory extended Maine's win streak to three and improved the Black Bears to 5-2 on the year.
Maine's 85 point total marked its most against a Division-I opponent since tallying 87 against New Hampshire on Jan. 29, 2015.
Blanca Millan posted her 18th, 20-plus scoring performance with a team-high 21 points, going 8-for-17 from the field, to go along with a season-high seven steals.
Tanesha Sutton added 17 points, eight boards and four steals while
Dor Saar chipped in 15 points and matched a career-best with nine assists.

Maine's offense was on fire from start to finish as the Black Bears went 30-for-61 from the floor including an impressive 16-of-33 from three-point range. Maine assisted on 24 of its 30 field goals, its highest assist total of the season and most since a 25 assist effort last February against New Hampshire.
The Black Bears started quick, racing out to a 7-0 lead on a triple from Saar just 2:16 into the first period. North Carolina, forced to call an early timeout to stop the Maine momentum, settled in following the break and fought back to tie the game at 18-all entering the second quarter.
The Tar Heels kept charging, taking a three point lead with 7:57 left in the half. However, a triple from Fogarty knotted the score as Maine would began a 22-7 sprint to close the half. Three-point field goals from Millan, Sutton and Saar would come as part of an 11-0 Maine run, extending the Black Bears' lead to nine. The lead reached double-digits (11) on a three from Rossignol before Fogarty closed out the half with another triple.
Maine would lead, 44-32, entering the half.
North Carolina cut the lead to eight but Maine would answer, ending the third period on a 7-0 run when Carroll's buzzer-beater extended the lead to 17 after three.
Maine continued to roll, building its largest lead of the afternoon when a three from Saar made it 68-47.
The Tar Heels were unable to shrink the gap below 12 the rest of the way as Maine picked up another key non-conference victory with an 85-73 decision.
Maine has a quick turn around as it wraps up a five-game road trip with a date at Harvard on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
