- Maine enters Sunday's contest after falling to New Hampshire 3-2 on Sept. 28, but redeemed themselves with a 2-1 double-overtime victory over No. 22 UAlbany last Sunday.
- The Black Bears moved up to No. 17 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll, matching its highest ranking since 2015.
- Mia Borley earned America East Rookie of the Week after making a career-high eight saves on her birthday over the Great Danes. The award is her second rookie of week honor of the season.
- The Black Bear offense continues to rank among the best in America, standing at third in the country in goals per game (4.27), fifth in points per game (10.82) and fifth in penalty corners per game (8.18)
- Defensively, the Black Bear defense has only allowed 1.42 goals per game, which is 16th best in the nation.

About the Vermont Catamounts (4-6, 1-0 AE)
- Vermont looks to start America East play 2-0 when it travels to UNH on Friday to open the weekend.
- The Catamounts defeated UMass Lowell 1-0 to begin AE play on Sept. 28.
- Maine and Vermont have played three common opponents so far this season in Quinnipiac, Cornell and UC Davis this season. Maine is 3-0 against these teams, while Vermont defeated Cornell and UC Davis, but fell to Quinnipiac 2-1 on Aug. 26.
- Five different Catamounts have registered at least five points in 2018, with Landon Warren (10 points) and Rachel Phillips (7 points) leading the charge.
