ORONO, Maine -- UMaine Homecoming weekend is upon us! The Black Bears will host Homecoming 2018 on the weekend of Oct. 26-28 with numerous events around campus welcoming Alumni back to the 'College of our hearts, always'!

UMaine Athletics will host four games over the homecoming weekend beginning on Friday when field hockey takes on Vermont at 3 p.m. followed by women's ice hockey's contest against New Hampshire at 6 p.m. The University of Maine football team will meet UAlbany, presented by Maine Savings, on Saturday at 1 p.m. before women's ice hockey closes out the weekend on Sunday at 2 p.m. against Boston College.

SHUTTLE INFORMATION:
A shuttle service will once again be offered for Homecoming weekend. The shuttle will make stops at the following locations on Saturday: Steam Plant Parking Lot, Buchanan Alumni House, Collins Center for the Arts and Memorial Gymnasium. For a full look at the shuttle map, please click HERE.

NEW SEASON MEMBER ENTRANCE:
This year, fans with season memberships will have a devoted entrance to the Leadbetter's Lot B, as we ask our season members to enter at "Gate A", as seen on the Tailgating Map linked here. Season members must show their Leadbetter's Lot tailgate pass to enter the lot. 

SINGLE GAME/GROUP TICKET TAILGATE ENTRANCE:
Those who purchased single game or group tickets and wish to tailgate are asked to enter the campus using "Gate B", taking Long Road to both the "Buffalo Wild Wings Lot C" and "Lot D". "Lot E" will be used for Homecoming only.

NEW TAILGATING FEE:
There will be a $20 fee for those who wish to take advantage of our tailgate this season in Lot C, Lot D and Lot E (homecoming only). The charge is waived for our Season Members as an added benefit. Those who wish to take advantage of our free family and alcohol free tailgate can do so in "Lot A" behind the stadium and beside "Gate A".

NEW TAILGATING TIMING AND NO RENTRY:
Tailgate lots will open three hours prior to kickoff, however new this season the lots will close at the end of the first quarter of the game. In conjunction fans will not be able to reenter the game, once they leave the stadium. The stadium will continue to offer its beer garden. Alcohol sales will end at the start of the third quarter. The beer garden area will remain open until the end of the third, to allow fans to finish their beverages and watch the game from the end zone area.  

DAY OF GAME FEE:
As part of our new ticketing system, there will also be a new day of game per-ticket fee of $5. In order to take advantage of the best pricing we ask our fans to purchase their tickets ahead of the game they wish to attend.

• Leadbetter's Season Member Lot B. All season members will have the right to an EXCLUSIVE tailgate lot. Those who purchase a season membership will receive a special tailgate parking pass to gain entrance to the lot, free of charge!
• All tailgating in Buffalo Wild Wings Lot C, Lot D and Lot E (homecoming only) will require a payment of $20 per car. All tailgate passes will be sold on the day of the game only - no advance purchase.

• Lots open three hours prior to game time.
• Lots will fill on a first come, first service basis.
• All lots will close at the end of the first quarter. At that time, the lots become public areas and consumption of alcohol in the area is no longer permitted.
• Parking spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis. Tailgaters may line up on College Avenue prior to lots opening three hours before kickoff. Access to Leadbetter's Lot B, Lot A, skybox, media, handicap, or additional preferred parking will require use of Branch Road.

Guidelines:

• The legal consumption of alcohol is permitted in the Leadbetter's Lot (B), Buffalo Wild Wings Lot C, Lot D and Lot E (homecoming lot only).
  
  In order to enter either tailgate lot one must:
        1) Present a Season Member Pass to enter the Leadbetter's Lot B
        2) Lot A will be free parking
        3) Pay a fee of $20 per car to enter Buffalo Wild Wings Lot C, Lot D and Lot E (homecoming lot only).
   
• Lots open three hours prior to game time. Season Member Tailgate passes are good for 1 parking space.
• No bottles, kegs, or beer balls.
• Consumption of alcohol by those 21 years or older only. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Open containers of alcohol may not be taken out of tailgate areas and alcohol is not permitted in the stadium.
• Please secure alcohol into coolers or vehicles when exiting the tailgate area for the game.
• You may be asked to show proof of minimum drinking age. Please understand the importance of adhering to state law at the state university.
• Binge drinking or activities such as drinking games that encourage excessive consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated.
• Athletic Department personnel and public safety officials are available to assist you. For questions, please contact Event Management at 581-3353 or the Athletic Ticket Office at 581-2327.
• Portable toilets are available in all tailgate areas. Guests in either tailgate area may also use the facilities in Memorial Gymnasium. The gates to the game open 90 minutes before kickoff and the ticket office opens at 9 a.m. on gameday. Fans may utilize the facilities in the stadium once the gates are open.
