Patrick Ricard has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens, effective Saturday, April 29.

Ricard, a native of Spencer, Mass. and a graduate of David Prouty High School, earned a spot on the All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) first team in 2016 after racking up 50 tackles, 15.5 for loss, and 5.5 sacks. Ricard, who also earned a STATS FCS All-American third team selection and a spot on the Division-I FCS All-Star team, was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high eight tackles while tallying a new career-high 3.0 sacks in a win over Bryant. Ricard matched his career-best eight tackles in an effort against Villanova where he record an impressive career-high 5.0 tackles for loss.

In 2016, Ricard ranked second in the CAA with 15.5 tackles for loss and finished fifth in the league with 5.5 sacks.

For his career at Maine, Ricard played 44 games and was a constant force on the 'Black Hole' defensive line. Nearly a quarter of Ricard's 208 total tackles were for a loss. He ended his career at Maine with 47.5 tackles-for-loss, 18.0 sacks, 11 pass deflections, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and a pair of blocked kicks.
