ORONO, Maine -- After a tough loss to ACC-foe Boston College to open the season, the Maine Black Bears (0-1) seek a win in the Lone Star State against Texas Tech (1-0) on Tuesday night in Lubbock. The game will be broadcasted on Fox College Sports, with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. eastern.
SERIES HISTORY: Tuesday's matchup between the Black Bears and Red Raiders marks the first meeting ever between the two schools.

Towards the end of first half, the Eagles pulled away slightly, taking a 35-28 advantage at the break. Boston College outscored Maine 50-37 down the stretch in the second half to capture an 85-65 win. The Black Bears were plagued of foul-trouble in the second half, and the Eagles took advantage by converting 12 of 15 free throw attempts.

STOJILJKOVIC'S CAREER DAY: Ilija Stojiljkovic was one of three Black Bears to reach double figures in scoring, leading Maine with a career-high 14 points and caromed eight rebounds. Stojiljkovic shot a perfect 5-5 from the field, including 2-2 from three-point range on the day. The junior from Nis, Serbia also tallied an assist, and only turned the ball over once in 24 minutes played.

BLACK BEAR DEBUTS: Against Boston College, six Black Bears donned the Maine uniforms for the first time in a regular season game.

SCOUTING TEXAS TECH: The Red Raiders enter Tuesday's contest against Maine following a 75-50 victory over South Alabama on Friday night in their season opener. Zhaire Smith led Texas Tech off the bench with 14 points on 5-6 shooting from the field and added five rebounds. Smith was one of four Red Raiders to reach double-figures in scoring, as Texas Tech shot 48.2 % from the field (27-56). Texas Tech struggled from long-range only converting five of their 20 attempts from three-point range (25 percent). Keenan Evans and Zach Smith both received Preseason All-Big 12 honors in October. Smith averaged 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 assists per game last season, while Evans led Texas Tech with 15.4 points per game last season.

UP NEXT:Â Maine completes the regional round of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament after playing the Red Raiders, and will travel to Uncasville, Conn. this Saturday to play South Alabama in the opening round of the Springfield Bracket at 5:00 p.m. The Black Bears will play either Sacred Heart or Saint Peter's on Sunday depending on the outcome of Saturday's games.
