– After going 11-4 in its first 15 games on the season, the No. 25 Maine Black Bears field hockey team concludes the regular season this weekend, traveling to Vermont on Friday, before hosting New Hampshire for senior day on Sunday afternoon.

With two wins this weekend, the Black Bears will earn the number one seed for the upcoming America East Championships next week at UMass Lowell.

Last weekend, Maine extended its' win streak to four with victories against UMass Lowell and then No. 20 UAlbany. The Black Bears were promptly voted back in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll' after the impressive weekend.

- Maine looks to end the season a six-game winning streak with wins over UVM and New Hampshire this weekend. The Black Bears
- The Black Bears defeated both Vermont and New Hampshire earlier this month, downing the Catamounts 4-0 at home on October 8, while defeating the Wildcats 4-3 in Durham on October 13.
- Emma Cochran earned America East Defensive Player of the Week honors after making seven saves to shut out UAlbany on Sunday. Cochran also made four saves in a win over UMass Lowell on Friday.
- The UMaine athletics department will honor seniors Emma Cochran, Madison Cummings, and Emily Corbett for their contributions to the field hockey program and the University on Sunday afternoon before taking on UNH. The trio of seniors have led Maine to a 53-25 record over the last four seasons.

- The Catamounts enter Friday's game against Maine after a near upset victory of then No. 20 UAlbany. Vermont led 2-0 at halftime, but the Great Danes scored two late goals to force overtime, as UAlbany scored in the extra period for the comeback victory.
