Orono, Maine -- Kaitlin Saulter, running her first ever race for UMaine, led the Black Bears with a fifth place finish but the team fell to Army by an overall score of 16-46.

Saulter's time of 18:59.57 was good enough for fifth place, just 2.9 seconds out of fourth and 13.2 seconds behind overall winner Abby Halbrook (18:46.33) of Army.

Haley Lawrence placed seventh for the Black Bears with a time of 19:36.07 while Elanora Hubbell rounded out Maine's top three finishers in 10th at 19:55.06.

Maine is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 10 when it travels to take on UMass at 11 a.m.
