Micah Wright has been named a Hero Sports FCS Football Sophomore All-American Honorable Mention, as announced on Thursday, Dec. 29.
Wright led the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in punt returns, averaging 11.1 yards per attempt including a season-long 67-yard return for a touchdown at William & Mary. In total, Wright returned 17 punts for 189-yards.
As a receiver, Wright recorded 44 receptions in nine games for 688-yards and seven touchdowns. Despite appearing in only nine games, Wright ranked seventh in the league in receptions, sixth in receiving yards and second in touchdown receptions. Wright averaged 4.89 receptions per game and ranked third in the league at 76.4 receiving yards per game, averaging 15.6 yards per catch.
In five of his nine games, Wright pulled down five or more receptions. At Delaware, the Newark, N.Y. native hauled in eight catches for 98-yards and matched the season-high with eight more catches against Villanova. In the season finale against New Hampshire, Wright had one of the best outings of his career with five catches for 121-yards and a pair of touchdowns.
