ORONO, Maine -- Maine field hockey hosts America East opponent Vermont and America East West Division opponent California this weekend during Homecoming 2016. The Black Bears and Catamounts square off October 14 at 12:00 p.m. Vermont and California play a neutral site contest on October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maine field hockey complex. Then concluding Homecoming 2016 field hockey action, the Black Bears play Cal at 11:00 a.m. on October 16.

The Black Bears look to have back-to-back wins for the first time since Sept. 10 and 16. In their last six games, Maine is 3-3. The Black Bears defeated UNH 3-2 in overtime last week, making it the third game in a row that Maine has defeated rival UNH.
