
Soccer Falls to Quinnipiac, 3-1

Orono, Maine-- The University of Maine Women's Soccer team was handed its third loss of the season by Quinnipiac. With a 3-1 loss, Maine is now 4-3 on the season, while Quinnipiac improved to 4-1.
All four goals in the game were scored during the first half of play for both teams. Just one minute into the game Quinnipiac scored their first goal, and four minutes later added their second. 28 minutes into the game, the Bobcats lead Maine 3-0. Samantha Cobotic started her first game for the Black Bears and made two saves in the first half and two in the second for a total of four saves during the game.
Maine's only goal was scored unassisted by freshman Vivien Beil. She has started every game this season for the Black Bears, and has a total of seven points on two goals and three assists.
Maine will return home to host LIU Brooklyn at Mahaney Diamond on Saturday, September 19th at 12 pm. They will play their first conference game at Hartford on September 27th at 3pm.
