ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team looks for its second win in as many years over Dartmouth when it travels to Hanover to battle the Big Green on Sunday at 2 p.m. live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine is looking to get back on the winning path after a second half let down led to a 56-44 loss at Northeastern on Friday afternoon. Sigi Koizar paced Maine's offense with 16 points against the Huskies while Bella Swan chipped in 10. The Black Bears, who at one point led by 12, couldn't hold the lead. Maine did not visit the free throw line once in the contest.
Koizar leads a Maine offense which enters averaging 60.4 points per game. Koizar, who has tallied double-figures in nine of Maine's first 10 games, ranks third in the America East at 17.1 points per game. Koizar is third in the league in assists (4.2) while hitting at a 49.6% mark from the floor. Her 87.1% average from the free throw line is good for third in the league while she leads the America East, and ranks 23rd in the nation, with a 50.0% mark from 3-point range. Koizar has hit 24 three-pointers this season, sixth in the country. Senior Liz Wood is adding 9.5 points per game and ranks fourth in the league at 7.9 rebounds. Wood, chipping in 2.8 assists per game, ranks third in the nation with 29 steals, averaging 2.9 per game. Mikaela Gustafsson is averaging 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds with a 49.2% mark from the floor. Bella Swan is adding 5.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and with a team-high 50.9 field goal percentage.
Maine's defense ranks second in the league, allowing 55.4 points per game. The Black Bears sit third in the league in field goal percentage (43.2%) and 3-point percentage (29.7%) while shooting 71.8% from the free throw line. Maine leads the league at 16.4 assists per game while adding 8.3 steals and a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio; tops in the league and 26th nationally.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH:
The Big Green enter action on a two-game losing skid after picking up their first win back on Nov. 28; a 72-52 victory over former America East member Boston University. In its last outing, Dartmouth dropped a 57-41 decision to Rhode Island. Lakin Roland leads Dartmouth at 12.6 points per game and a team-high 8.4 rebounds. Kate Letkewicz is adding double-figures in scoring at 11.4 ppg with 8.1 rebounds.
Dartmouth is averaging 54.7 ppg while giving up 63.7 points. The Big Green are shooting 34.8% from the floor, 31.4% from beyond the 3-point arc and 68.8% from the free throw stripe.
A GLIMPSE INTO THE SERIES:
Today will be the 15th all-time meeting between Maine and Dartmouth with the Black Bears holding the series advantage 10-4. Maine has won the past three meetings, including last season's contest where it held Dartmouth to 38 points in a 58-38 victory on Dec. 10. In that win, Sigi Koizar led all scorers with 19 points and added seven rebounds. Maine turned Dartmouth over 23 times, turning those turnovers into a 27-2 points off turnovers margin. The Black Bears are 5-3 all-time on the road against Dartmouth. Maine won the first-ever meeting between the two schools by a score of 67-47 on Jan. 3, 1985.
