IN 2014: Played in 13 games her rookie season, making three starts... Recorded a shot in Maine's game at Rhode Island... Named a Maine Scholar-Athlete *Rising Star*... Named to the America East Academic Honor Roll. 

Playing Background: Member of the Ottawa Fury for 5 years… Captained the U20 New England Division Champions in 2012 & 2013... Selected to the SYL ODP National Camp…Member of the U16 Team Ontario travel squad to Spain… Member of the U15 Team Ontario team that played in the 2011 National Championships…

High School: A four year student-athlete at Russell High School… Was a 3-sport athlete in Volleyball, Basketball, and Hockey… Led all three programs as the Varsity team Captainin Volleyball, Basketball, and Hockey…Selected as the Junior Female Athlete of the Year.

Personal information: Born June 27^th,1996… Full name is Emma Catherine Lindblad… Daughter of Marjorie Lindblad and Mark Lindblad… Sister Abbey (20) plays collegiately for West Virginia Wesleyan… As a journalism major, Emma’s career ambition is to become a CNN reporter.

Emma on UMaine: “I chose UMaine because the coachingstaff and players welcomed me with open arms.  The campus and facilities really impressed me and I believe that I will have the opportunity to grow as a soccer player and as an individual. I am excited to become a Black Bear because of the many opportunities that will be available to me, both on the pitch and in the classroom. I look forward to making new friends and supporting my fellow Black Bears.”

“Emma has great vision and she passes the ball with precision.  She has quick feet and she strikes the ball well from distance.  Her skill set in conjunction with her insightmakes her versatile.  We will be able to use her in both attacking and defensive roles.”
