Parise Rossignol, currently in her second year on staff, began her appointment as assistant coach at UMaine on July 1, 2019.

Rossignol joined the staff just under four months after finishing her playing career with the Black Bears by helping guide UMaine to its second-straight America East title and ninth overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Rossignol began her playing career with the Black Bears in 2014, playing two seasons at UMaine before stepping away from the game for a year. She returned to the team in 2017, finishing out her career with a pair of America East regular season and tournament titles to go along with back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Rossignol, a 2019 America East all-conference second team honoree and 2018 America East all-tournament selection, garnered a pair of America East Player of the Week awards during her final year and also was named the America East Sixth Player of the Year for her third season.
 
During her time at UMaine, Rossignol appeared in 98 games with 45 starts. She totaled 567 points, 201 rebounds and 74 assists, completing her career with averages of 5.6 points per game and 2.0 rebounds. Rossignol was one of Maine's greatest 3-point threats, leading the America East from beyond the arc during her senior season (42.0), while completing her career with 102 three-point field goals made. During her final season, Rossignol set UMaine's all-time record for 3-point field goals made in a single game when she knocked down eight treys in a win over UMass Lowell.
 
Rossignol committed to the Black Bears following an incredible career at Van Buren high school. She led the state of Maine in scoring four consecutive years, averaging 30.6 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals in her senior season. Rossignol was the fastest Maine athlete (male or female) to reach 1,000 points, ending her high school career with 2,589 points; second most all-time in state history. She guided her team to a pair of Eastern Maine championships while earning numerous individual accolades including being named a finalist for the Miss Maine Basketball award.
 
Rossignol, who graduated from UMaine with a bachelor's degree in secondary education in the spring of 2018, is currently enrolled in UMaine's Masters of Education program where she is pursuing her postgraduate degree in Secondary Education: Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction.
