University of Maine softball head coach Jordan Fitzpatrick announced the hiring of assistant coach Scott Woodcock on Monday, September 20, 2021.
 
Woodcock, who most recently served as the hitting coach at Midway University, made stops at Bryan College and Kansas City at the end of his military career. 

Coach Woodcock is a near 10-year Marine Corps veteran. He studied business at both Volunteer State Community College and Austin Peay State University.

Scott and his wife Patty have four daughters and a son. They are also grandparents. As a player, he played Rookie Ball while also trying out for several Major League clubs.
