Mackenzie Beyer

Mackenzie Beyer enters her first season as an assistant coach at Maine with the 2024-25 school year.

Beyer, who played three seasons of softball at Coastal Carolina from 2019-2021, came to Orono after one season as an assistant coach at Holy Cross. She spent 2023 as the Fury Platinum New England 16U head coach and giving hitting and defense lessons at the HIT Center of Rhode Island. Additionally, she volunteered at the La Salle Academy in Providence as a coach.

Beyer appeared in 109 games for the Chanticleers earning starts in 105 games. Over her career she hit .289 with a .425 on-base percentage, .569 slugging percentage for a .994 OPS. Beyer totaled 20 home runs, 54 RBI, and 44 runs scored. During her junior campaign, she led the team and ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) in home runs (11). In the classroom, she was a SBC academic honors list honoree.

Beyer graduated from Coastal Carolina with a bachelor of science in public health in 2023.
