Jon Lynch

Jon Lynch came to the University of Maine in 2015.  He served as a Sports Performance coach for one year before being elevated to Director of Sports Performance in 2016. Lynch oversees all aspects of the university’s Sports Performance department, while working directly with football and field hockey.
 
Before arriving at the University of Maine, Lynch worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northeastern University assisting with men's ice hockey as well as other sports. Prior to this, he served as a graduate assistant at Central Connecticut State University while responsible for working with football and Olympic sports.  Lynch also has sports performance experience at the University of Connecticut, The University of California - Los Angeles, as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). 
 
Jon completed his MS at Central Connecticut State University (exercise physiology), and his BS at Westfield State University (heath fitness).  He also played linebacker on the varsity football team.  Lynch is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the NSCA.  He also holds CPR/AED and First aid certifications. 
 
Jon Lynch resides in Bradley, with his wife Jenny, son Raiden, and daughter Saria.
