Codi Fitzgerald was hired as the Director of Sports Performance on Nov. 13, 2023.
Fitzgerald began his role as Director of Sports Performance after serving as a sports performance coach at Maine, the head strength and conditioning coach at Saint Anselm, and attending graduate fellowship at Merrimack College.
Beginning in July of 2021, Fitzgerald has served as sports performance coach at Maine where he worked with the men’s and women’s ice hockey programs.
Prior to his time at Maine, Fitzgerald served from Aug. 2019 through June 2021 in the sports performance department at Saint Anselm and was promoted to head strength and conditioning coach with the Hawks in January of 2021. While in that role, Fitzgerald had direct oversight of the entire strength and conditioning program and managed the budget and internship curriculum. Fitzgerald worked with a variety of sports during his stint at Saint Anselm including men’s and women’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, field hockey, softball, and football.
Fitzgerald earned his master of science in exercise and sport sciences in 2019 from Merrimack after achieving his bachelor of science in kinesiology from the University of Maine in 2018.
