Justin Karriem joined the Maine staff in August of 2023 as the cornerbacks coach.
Prior to joining the Black Bears, Karriem served as a quality control coach at Colgate from July 2022 through July of 2023.
During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Karriem was the cornerbacks coach at The Catholic University of America. Karriem also spent 10 years as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Potomac High School.
Karriem earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from Towson in 2013 and his MBA in Sport and Fitness Administration and Management from Southern New Hampshire University. From 2006-08, Karriem attended Syracuse where he was a wide receiver.
