Prior to Maine: Colton Carson will join a list of impressive pitchers from the state of Maine who had the opportunity to represent their state in the last few years: Jeff Gelinas, Justin Courtney, Jonah Normandeau, Cody Laweryson, Trevor DeLaite, Eddie Emerson, Matt Pushard, Peter Kemble and Alex McKenney. Carson attends Oxford Hills where he plays for University of Maine Alumnus Shane Slicer. Coach Slicer attended both University of Maine and Oxford Hills, and was recently inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame. At Maine, Slicer played for Coach Winkin in the early 1990's. While at Oxford Hills, Colton was on the honor roll, received first team all conference honors in baseball both in 2017 and 2018, received All Conference football in 2017, was the recipient Class A Football Player of the Year Award and awarded Second Team All Conference in Basketball in 2017.
