ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine Field Hockey team's Samantha Wagg(Victoria, Australia) was named America East Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row.
Wagg was able to score six points this week in three games and help lead the Black Bears to a 2-1 record. She was able to score one goal against Quinnipiac in a 4-1 win and scored two goals against Sienna in a 7-1 win.
Wagg and the Black Bears are 7-2 on the season and have to travel to Bryant on Sept. 26.
The University of Maine is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015. In conjunction with this, the athletic department will celebrate 150 student-athletes achievements over the next year.
